Where appropriate, Sponsor meetings are held with the at the beginning, middle and end of the process to agree the focus of the participant and review progress.
Such meetings typically include the PoI Participant, the Participant's Sponsor and the PoI consultant. Sponsor meetings are typically 1 hour in duration.
There are two styles of workshop conducted for PoI participants depending upon the number of participants and course undertaken.
The first workshop can be run with the entire project team, with subsequent workshops limited to sub groups of 5 project team members providing a confidential and non-competitive environment in which to practice new influencing strategies.
Workshop content combines:
influencing self-style analysis
explanation of influencing skills theory and tools
rehearsal of upcoming influencing events
candid feedback on observed influencing behaviour from both development leader and peers
Workshops times are scheduled to suit participants requirements, including fixed commitments, travel and leave. Each takes approximately 3.5 hours.
